Rollag Municipality

Is it possible to implement a good leadership development program for innovation management fully digitally? We believe the answer is yes - but it makes some demands on participants, facilitators and themes. We had to change the form of the program quite drastically, but with goodwill from the organization and with Yvonne Fosser on the team, we have focused on topics such as management for innovation, innovation system, creative climate and management team development. Perhaps the most important thing we have achieved is to create an arena for reflection and development in a corona period that has placed enormous demands on managers and employees at all levels in the municipal sector. The collaboration will continue into 2022.

Federation of Uganda Employers

The Federation of Uganda Employers (FUE) in Uganda is NHO's sister organization. Over several years, they have developed the organization in the direction of providing better and more support and advisory services to their members. To keep pace with developments, FUE has wanted to develop its change and development expertise. This includes building a basic understanding of innovation work, innovation management and how to transform this knowledge into actual change in the organization. We have held several courses for FUE in recent years and still have an ongoing collaboration related to these areas - both for the organization FUE and for their members.

We build management teams

Innovation programme for SMB

In our innovation program for SMEs, we have received clear feedback that one of the most useful modules was involving innovation. Here, together with the companies, we have analyzed which players have the greatest value in including - it can be employees, customers, suppliers, the board or someone completely different. Once the companies had chosen who they would prioritize, we prepared clear structures for the work by defining clear goals and activities that could be implemented. The conclusion? It's amazing how much value you can get with even fairly small grips.

Managing innovation at sustainable health

Several African countries have major challenges in achieving the sustainability goals and face complex challenges in the form of rapid demographic shifts, high levels of poverty, large refugee populations, climate change and institutional and state instability. Together with Karolinska Institutet (Sweden) and Makerere University (Uganda), we have developed and delivered a digital skills development program for leaders from the health sector in the GDR Congo, Somalia and Uganda. The aim of the program is to increase participants' competence to work more strategically, innovatively and cross-sectorally to increase access to health services in vulnerable contexts. The program is divided into three modules where Tinkr has developed and implemented the one that deals with innovation and management for innovation. The program is part of the virtual Center of Excellence for Sustainable Health (CESH) where Tinkr is a partner: https://cesh.health/

Stad Municipality

When Eid and Selje municipality merged and became Stad, innovation and co-creation were a priority area to ensure sustainable social development. Tinkr has contributed to several innovation projects within, among other things, political organization, meaningful and active life for young people as well as health and care. At the beginning of 2020, they wanted to take the next step. By establishing an interdisciplinary innovation team, they were able to combine the implementation of innovation projects with the development of innovation competence in the organization. During 9 months and 9 sessions, the participants have worked on innovation projects that have given them practical training in the innovation process. We have combined key methods and tools for effective innovation with the development of an innovation team that has delivered concrete value through the projects.
